Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question about registered dietitian care not on the list, please contact us.
How do I know Anyone’s Journey is going to be the right fit for me?
It’s completely understandable that you (or your loved one) want to ensure that your provider will be the right fit. Let’s face it…weight, food, exercise—these are all sensitive topics, and you want to feel 100% comfortable to have conversations around energy that feels empowering to YOU. To ensure that you and your provider will be good teammates in this process we offer a complementary 15-minute discovery call to all potential clients. During this time, the dietitian will address any questions that you have and provide a brief overview of how the service is conducted.
What will my initial appointment look like?
This is a time for your RD to really get to know your story. We want to know all the details that have led you to where you are right now in your journey.
More formally, your provider will complete an initial nutrition assessment. This will entail gathering nutrition-related information about your current and past lifestyle habits. We will review medications, collect recent labs (if any), review an example of your typical day of eating and discuss current exercise interventions/limitations. Your RD will recommend how often they would like to see you for follow-ups and start reviewing a timeline for goal-setting
If available, please bring your most recent After Visit Summary from your primary care physician office to the first session.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! Please see a full list of insurance companies we have contracts with under the insurance page.
Will insurance cover dietitian services?
Most people don’t know this…insurance most often covers nutrition services!
It’s common to see insurance policies cover our services at 100%, with no cost to you. Many policies cover this as a preventive service, while some have medical nutrition benefits. We encourage you to contact your insurance prior to the first appointment to verify coverage. Please refer to the “verifying insurance” form (LINK) under the insurance page for a list of questions to ask your insurance provider.
How many appointments will I need?
Because nutrition counseling is so personal, the amount of appointments per client will vary. Some people need one or two visits for education and awareness, but many clients require multiple, ongoing support to create lifelong habits. Your RDN can meet weekly, or every few weeks for continued help.
How long do appointments typically last?
The initial visit is typically 60-90 minutes. Follow-up appointments are typically 60 minutes.
Do you offer in-person and virtual visits?
Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual visits. In person appointments are located at 6385 Old Shady Oak Rd. Suite 250 Eden Prairie, MN 55344. You will receive a virtual link for your scheduled appointment time within 24 hours of the appointment.
Many of our clients choose a hybrid approach. They typically come into the office for the initial visit and then switch between in-person and telehealth appointments based on preference and provider recommendations.
I am not located in the state of Minnesota. Can I still work with you?
YES! We offer online care for people out of state if you are in a state we license. Check out this page to see where we offer Registered Dietitian services.
What form of payment can I use if i have a balance on my account?
We accept FSA/HSA, credit card and check for any deductible, co-insurance and copayments. In the rare case that your insurance doesn’t cover our service, we have a private pay rate that your provider can discuss with you.
